news!

i am moving to Portland tomorrow to go to school, but we'll keep playing!

In January, our new record will be out in Spain on Birra y Perdiz discos en CD-R and in the UK on Clan Destine Records, in the cassette format. We're going to tour both countries from the 5th of Jan to the 19th. Upon our return, we'll do some northwest dates with the amazing Baby Birds Don't Drink Milk!

also, the beginning of 2011 will bring a split 7" on Off Tempo Records with Oakland's Summer Blondes, on which Guy Culver from the amazing Religious Girls will play drums!

Great! Shit will get started again in November with a few shows in Seattle, Portland and Olympia.

Nov. 16th: Portland, OR at ELLA ST. SOCIAL CLUB with Little Teeth from SF.

More details to come.
love,

Recording went awesome

We recorded vocals and extra percussion for our new record today at Zach's house, and it shredded. Thanks to Kevin, Skyler, Matt, Erin, Kailee, Casey, Ed, Preston and Jack for laying down the law.

I am really stoked on the way the songs are turning out, its the way that they always ought to have been recorded. Get ready kids!

Plus, we are playing on June 26th at the Greenhouse as part of a farewell series for Natron, who has been on of the best and most hardworking, if not the most, dude in the DIY community. We're playing with the recently reformed and legendary Little Party and the Bad Business and SEAHOUSE, who are so good. Come hang out!

"Braceros" free download

Here is our EP "Braceros" that we released over in Spain in September of last year. They're all sold out over there, but I have about 20 cds in my room that you can buy. We're cool though if you just wanna download it. Here's a link and the album art. If you are interested in buying a copy, they are $5-8, the latter being preferred as we are trying to buy plane tickets for our tour.

MySpace is dumb

MySpace seems to have become more and more obsolete in the past year, and even more so since December, when we decided to start our hiatus. Now that we are back, I decided to make us this blog to keep people who are not myspace inclined updated to our movement and action.

As some may have heard, we are reuniting for a tour in Spain and Morocco. Zach Burba of Iji, and every other awesome pop band in the city is joining us for the tour and recording. We are in the process of recording a full length and a 7", both of which will be released this summer. We will be playing a few PNW shows, partially to raise money for plane expenses, so if you have a show that you'd like us to play, let us know. The best way to get ahold of us is through this email: benjaminfunkhouser@gmail.com

We will most likely play your show.

Love,
Ben and Jake and Zach.
